#helplitgrow All Ages Drag Show

It's Pride Month, and Lit. on Fire Books is SO PROUD to be EXPANDING! We're kicking off the celebration in style with an all-ages, family friendly drag show fundraiser to help us cover our costs for construction, all while giving you a delightful and wholesome show with a sneak peak of our expansion space on the side!

Join us at Lit. on Fire Books/ 716 W. Main St. (at the future home of the nonprofit-to-be, My Writing Shed) on Thursday, June 23rd. Doors open at 5:30 pm for getting a first look into the space and getting situated for the show, which will begin around 6 pm. Lit. on Fire Books is asking for a $5 suggested donation toward expansion costs at the door, but our events remain FREE and no pressure, as always. We will also have a 50/50 raffle, so that's another great reason to pop in early and get yourself some tickets before you find yourself a spot.

Our host, Karl and special guest Oliver will be helping us entertain you as we enjoy fabulous and family friendly performances from Artemisia VanHo, Miss Flo NoMo', a DEBUT from Demeter Ibarelyknowher, and even our host, Karl himself!

Is this your/ your child's/ your friend's first drag show? No problem! We've got tips and pointers that we will be sharing with you on our social media channels, as well as here if I remember to pop back over and paste them in haha.

You will also find some signs throughout the expansion space during the event with details on each project and their projected costs, as well as envelopes for cash/ check donations and barcodes for virtual donations via Venmo, PayPal, and CashApp.

Performers will be keeping all of their tips, so please come with plenty of ones, fives, or bigger bills if you're feeling especially generous to the artists making this celebration and fundraiser possible. Community is what makes this space possible, so let's treat our drag superstars to a wonderful evening with the whole family! <3
